Sofia Vergara was a Colombian model who later moved to the United States to become a host on TV at Univision. She began film acting in 2000. The Emmy-nominated character of Gloria DelgadoPritchett from the hit sitcom Modern Family made her a household star. Hot Pursuit, Happy Feet Two and Happy Feet Two were other projects she was involved in.

Career and early life

Sofia Vergara is a Colombian girl born in Barranquilla to a large, Colombian family on the 10th of July, 1972. After studying dentistry and studying English in a bilingual elementary schools, Vergara was able to learn English. Vergara, who was captured on a beach by a photographer, and found her, got her start in the screen through an Pepsi commercial. Vergara was later a model for Mexican Telenovelas and eventually became a TV star.

Hot Pursuit, a 2015 buddy comedy created by Vergara and Reese Witherspoon, was Vergara's collaboration with Witherspoon. Vergara was also featured as Vergara in The Female Brain. Vergara was also voice actor in The Emoji Movie, which came out in 2017. Then she switched gears and appeared in the 2018 thriller Bent and the 2017 baseball drama Bottom of the 9th.

Vergara was the first person to see the fruits of financial success prior to the time she was the highest-paid television actress. She was co-founder of Latin World Entertainment in 1994.

The actress started her own Kmart clothing line in 2011. Three years later, she launched her own jewelry and perfume collection. Walmart was the partner she used to launch an apparel line for denim in the year 2019.

Personal Life

 

In 2000, Vergara was diagnosed with thyroid cancer by an endocrinologist. Since then, she's undergone surgery, radiation therapy and now is taking medication daily in order to control her metabolism. Vergara established a foundation in order to assist families in Colombia who are battling cancer.

Vergara, her childhood sweetheart got married Joe Gonzalez in 1993 and had one son Manolo (in 1992). In 1993, Vergara and Joe Gonzalez separated. Vergara was married to Nick Loeb in July 2012 the American co-owner of a film production firm. Vergara and Loeb have ended their relationship in May of 2014.

Vergara got into an legal dispute in 2015 with Loeb. Loeb sued Vergara in 2015 for her control of the frozen embryos that she and Loeb had created when they were married. Vergara said that he was going to destroy them. However, she denied this accusation. Vergara said that she was happy to freeze embryos indefinitely in a statement she made to People magazine.

Vergara began to date Joe Manganiello, True Blood and Magic Mike hunks, shortly after the breakup. Vergara was married to Manganiello on the 14th of December 2014. On an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live appearance, she also announced that she had been given American citizenship.
