Biography of AJ Michalka

Amanda Joy Michalka, also called AJ was born on 10 April 1991. She is an American actor and singer-songwriter. Before becoming an actress she was model. Most well-known is her role as a member of the duo Aly and AJ (formerly the 78Violet) together alongside her sister Aly Michalka. AJ created "It's what you're made of" the music video as well as the theme song for Secretariat. In the film Grace Unplugged, she also released a single and a music video called "All I've ever needed". After two seasons as a regular character in the sitcom on ABC, The Goldbergs, she was promoted to a regular role in the show's third season. Michalka is the character Stevonnie in Steven Universe. The character is a mix of Steven who is the main character and Connie his closest friend. Her sister and she filmed untitled drama in Laurel Canyon in California, July 14, 2014. Stephen Ringer, Aly's husband directed the film and also wrote the script. Michalka together with Ringer and her sister was producer and was a part of the casting process. The film, Weepah way for Now was scheduled to be screened at the Los Angeles Film Festival in May of 2015. In June of 2016 the film was released on DVD and iTunes.
