American actress Jennifer Leann Carpenter was conceived December 7 1979. She is most well-known for her roles in the roles of Debra Morgan and Rebecca Harris in Showtime's Dexter. Carpenter began her character as Erica Shepherd in The Enemy Within, which is an NBC drama. Carpenter was first recognized for her performance in the role of Emily Rose in The Exorcism of Emily Rose. She won the 2006 MTV Movie Award for Best Frightened Performance. She was also honored with the Hollywood Life Breakthrough Award. She was also named the "Breakout Performer", at the 2006 Scream Awards. In 2007, she began dating her Dexter co-star Michael C. Hall. They married on New Year's Eve, 2008 in California. In January 2009, they made their first public appearance together as a married couple at the 66th Golden Globe Awards. In December of 2010, Hall and Carpenter released an announcement that they filed for divorce following being separated "for several time".The divorce was finalized in December 2011 for irreconcilable differences; However, they remain very close friends. Carpenter and Seth Avett became engaged on February 10, 2015. It was revealed in August 2015 that Carpenter gave the birth of a baby boy in May of 2015. Carpenter also admitted she was eight-and a half months pregnant when she began filming Limitless' pilot episode. Carpenter and Avett were married in May 2016.
