Kathleen Robertson Bio
Robertson transitioned from acting to screenwriting in the 2010s. Robertson was a graduate of the Writers Guild's Showrunners Training Program in 2015. She was guided and mentored by John Wells, former president of WGA West. In 2017, she began rewriting The Possibilities, Kaui Hart Hemmings' novel that follows up to The Descendents about a grieving Colorado mother who lost her son in a skiing avalanche and is then introduced to a mysterious girl. She writing feature drama film that is based on Chris Cleave's novel Little Bee starring Julia Roberts. Swimming With Sharks was her first show. It's based off the 1994 Hollywood comedy film. Quibi will air the show in 2020. She also created comedy-drama pilot Your Time Is Up for Lifetime featuring Christina Applegate was attached to the show's main. Robertson has dated director and independent filmmaker Gregg Araki from 1997 to 1999. Robertson is engaged to Chris Cowles, a film producer since 2004. She gave birth to her first baby, a son called William Robert Cowles, on July 9, 2008 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. In October of 2016, Robertson gave birth to her second son, Bennett.
