Mena Alexandra Suvari Bio

Mena was named #69 on the Maxim magazine "Hot 100 of 2005" list. She also was ranked at #73 on the Maxim magazine "Hot 100 of 2007" list, and was ranked #52 on the Maxim magazine "Hot 100 of 2008" list. Mena finished her artistic pursuits by playing the black Dahlia in Ryan Murphy's television show American Horror Story (2011). Mena continued to be a part of the medium, with an arc in Chicago Fire (2013) and South of Hell (2015) on WeTv. Both episodes were created by Blumhouse Productions executive producers Jason Blum and Eli Roth. Mena is scheduled to play alongside Alicia Silverstone for John Wells and TV Land's American Woman. She graduated from Providence High School, Burbank, California in 1997. Her last name, "Suvari", pronounced "soo-VAHR-ee", is Estonian. Her father is Estonian and her mother is American. Mena's maternal grandfather had Norwegian, German, and English roots, and Mena's maternal grandmother was the daughter of Greek immigrants. First name, Mena. Pronounced "MEE-nah". Entertainment Weekly magazine named her the most patriotic singer of 2000, referring to three movies which had the word "American" in their titles: American Pie (1999), American Beauty (99) as well as Live Virgin (1999). She also added American Pie 2 (2001) on this list in 2001. After that, a decade later she added American Reunion (2012) to her filmography.
