Michelle Lynn Monaghan, born on March 23, 1976 is an American actor. Her most famous work is her roles in Kiss Bang Bang (2006), Gone Baby Gone (2007, Made of Honor (2008)), Trucker (2008) and Source Code (2011). Her leading role in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011) and Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) has earned her praise. Monaghan was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress. She was also a character on Sarah Lane on the drama series The Path (2016-18). Monaghan played Eva Geller in the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah The show was pulled after just one season. Monaghan was born in the town of 750 people (then with a population of 750) in Winthrop, Iowa, the daughter of Sharon Hammel, and Robert Monaghan who worked in a factory. Her older brothers are, Bob and John. Monaghan is mostly Irish and German ancestry, and was raised Catholic.She graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1994. Following graduation, Monaghan moved to Chicago to pursue a journalism degree and began modeling. She has also modelled in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore in addition to the United States. In 1999, she only had one more semester to finish her degree in journalism. She then moved to New York to pursue an acting career. She began her career as model. Monaghan was recognized in two television roles as supporting characters in Young Americans' episodes in 2000. Her second television appearance was in Law & Order: Special Victims Unified , in "Consent" that premiered on January 19, 2001. In addition, she made her big screen debut in Perfume the following year, playing Henrietta. In 2002, she was again in a supporting role in Unfaithful starring Richard Gere & Diane Lane.
