Riley Keough
Danielle Riley
Keough is an American actress. Born in Santa Monica, California, to singers
Lisa Marie Presley and Danny Keough who are the grandchild of actress Priscilla
Presley and singer Elvis Presley. Keough was raised by her father in Hawaii,
Los Angeles and spent time with her mother in California. At age 15 she began
modeling, with appearances in fashion shows with Dolce & Gabbana and
Christian Dior and being featured on the cover of Vogue. The first time she
appeared in a feature film was at 20 years old when she was cast in a
supporting role as Marie Currie in The Runaways (2010). Following The Good
Doctor (2011) Keough was a part of Jack & Diane (2012). She was later
cast as a small part in Steven Soderbergh’s comedy Magic Mike (2012). After
starring in Yellow and Kiss of the Damned in 2012, Keough was cast in the
big-budget action film Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). In 2016, Keough had her
breakthrough role as a law student-turned-escort in the first season of the anthology
series The Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by Soderbergh and based on
his 2009 film of the same name. Her performance was well-received by critics
and she was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an
actress in a short motion-picture or series created for television. The
following performance of Keough as a shrewd young woman in the drama American
Honey (2017) earned an even greater amount of praise with an Independent Spirit
Award nomination for Best Supporting Female. In the same year, Keough was in
the apocalyptic horror film It Comes at Night (2017) as well as reuniting with
Soderbergh to be a part of his heist film, Logan Lucky. The film was followed
by roles in a variety of thriller and horror films in 2018, such as Lars von
Trier's The House That Jack Built and the neonoir Under the Silver Lake. In the
year 2019, Keough starred as the protagonist in the psychological horror film
The Lodge, followed by another leading role in the comedy-drama Zola (2020).
Keough plays the role of Sandy Harrison, Netflix's 2020 release The Devil All
the Time.
