Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born on November 8 85, 1985) is a Canadian actress from Canada. She is most well-known for her appearances on ABC Family's Kyle XY as Andy Jensen and Syfy's Caprica science fiction drama series as Lacy Rand. Emily Hartwell, a science fiction actress, was born Maya Hartwell. She also appeared in the Netflix thriller series You as Sandy. Apanowicz is from Polish descent and spent one year in Poland in the ninth grade. She lived with her uncle in Poland, and was a student at Jelenia Gola school. In the following years, she attended Vancouver Film School. The brother of her introduced her to Pulp Fiction at the age 10 and she immediately became fascinated by acting. She started her acting career in 2002 by appearing on the TV series Jeremiah and John Doe.From 2007 until 2009 she portrayed the role of Andy Jensen on Kyle XY. She starred in Every Second Counts, a Hallmark Channel original film that premiered in the year 2008. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Lacy Rand (a series regular) in the telenovela Caprica with Eric Stoltz, Alessandra Torresani. The following year, she was a guest in the show Hellcats. In 2012, she appeared as a guest in the second season of Jane Espenson's web series of romantic comedy, Husbands.In 2013, Apanowicz appeared as Emily in the series Continuum The actress also appeared in the Eli Roth horror film The Green Inferno as Samantha. The Green Inferno, although it was produced in 2012, it was released worldwide in the year 2015. Apanowicz was cast to play Angela in Volition an science fiction thriller film. The film premiered in 2020.In 2019, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Sandy on the second season of Netflix thriller You.
