Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was born on 27 August 1976
in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Angie Chalke, and Doug Chalke are her parents.
Sarah is the middle of two brothers, the older one, Natasha Chalke, one
younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah began her acting career with City Boy (1992), the
first television-produced film made by TV. Following her first film her
audition, she was cast in 1993 for the role of "Becky" of Roseanne
(1988). The show was looking for an actor to replace Alicia Goranson quit the
show to attend college. Sarah graduated from high school in 1995 as she was
filming the 1994-1995 Roseanne (1988) season. Sarah was also in the film with
Jim Varney (1994) in Ernest Goes to School (1994). She was in Robin of Locksley
(1996) and Stand Against Fear(1996). In both films Sarah played the role of
Krista Wilson and was an athlete. Sarah was asked to play in a 1998 show called
Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. This was one year after Roseanne (1988). It was
based on the show the show Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (2000), Sarah also was
a part of the show. Sarah replaced Becky's (1988) role from Alicia Goranson.
She stated that she would like to quit acting and go to university. [2001]
(1993-1997) She was Sara Gilbert's older sibling on Roseanne (1988), although
she's a lot younger in real life. Participated in the 1999 CCMA Awards
ceremony, and received the award for the most outstanding single. [September
1999] At age 8 appeared in Vancouver plays. The actress is fluent in French,
German and Spanish. She volunteers at a hospital where sick children are
treated . She also works with the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. In her spare
time, Chalke prefers cooking with acquaintances (especially Thai and sushi) as
well as playing the guitar or hiking, ski (she's an instructor) as well as
kayaking, snowboarding and reading. Her father is an attorney, and both of her
parents manage a child-adoption agency. She went with her parents to China two
years ago to assist in coordinating the adoptions of many orphans.
